Hedgehog Slice

Makes Approx. 16 squares
​2 packs crushed plain biscuits
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
​180g butter
​1/2 cup sugar
​1 tsp vanilla essence


Chocolate Icing:
​100g block of Donovan’s Dark Chocolate, broken up
​200mls fresh cream
  1. ​Melt butter and sugar in a large saucepan.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine Dutch cocoa and milk and mix well.
  3. Slowly add the milk and cocoa mixture to the saucepan and mix well to combine.
  4. Add in coconut and crushed biscuits and combine.
  5. Place baking paper into a slice pan and press the mixture into the pan, then place in the fridge to chill.
  6. For the chocolate icing, bring the cream to a boil then remove from the heat. Place the broken chocolate in the pan and mix to combine to a creamy texture. Spread across the chilled slice, and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
  7. Slice then serve!
